Compliance with the FTC Guides disclosure forms adds another headache
for webmasters who already are struggling to comply with website legal
forms in general. DigiContracts.com founder and leading Internet
attorney Chip Cooper has announced an upgrade to his online website
legal forms drafting service and website documents generator to include
an automated series of FTC Guides disclosure forms.
"The FTC Guides went into effect in December, 2009, and compliance isn't yet up to par across the board", says Cooper. "To help webmasters with compliance, we've now got a two-fold approach - our upgraded website documents drafting system to include FTC Disclosure forms, plus I've also upgraded out FTC Guides E-Book with additional FTC forms, commentary, and suggestions."
Cooper pointed out that his online, automated drafting service provides a good start toward FTC Guides compliance. "Our upgraded service is a good start, but it should be supplemented with the commentary and additional forms in the e-book", points out Cooper. "There're just too many contingencies to cover them all in an automated system."
In today's highly regulated Internet environment, legal developments are coming so fast that it's difficult for website owners to know what they need to do for website legal compliance to avoid legal liability. Retaining an Internet attorney for continuous legal updates can be prohibitively expensive. Cooper believes he's solved the dilemma with his bi-monthly, complimentary email newsletter, Website Law Alert.
