Dear {!firstname}:

Welcome to Your WEBSITE LAW ALERT by Chip Cooper and DigiContracts.com

Chip's Commentary:

You're probably aware that I'm always on the look-out for fresh insights.

Particularly, if they're written in a pithy style.

This one's from Randy Gage.

"Some people think intuition isn't real. ... to really get the benefit of your intuition, you have to nurture it. And listen to it. The more you tune into your intuition, the stronger it becomes. If you have a tough decision to make, and someone is rushing you, step away."

"Get away from the pressure and turn to your inner knowing. Instead of worrying about making the right decision, remember that you already know the right decision."

FTC Issues New Regs For Bloggers

In recognition of the increasing influence of social media online, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on October 5, 2009, for the first time since 1980, issued new regulations governing online testimonials and endorsements by bloggers.

If you operate a blog site, your exposure to legal liability may have increased exponentially. Violators could be fined up to $11,000. And you face new liability associated with statements made by your endorsers (think affiliates).

To learn more, read my article entitled 3 Critical Things Blog Site Webmasters Need To Know About The FTC's New Blog Regs.

Comments From Digicontracts.com:

I'll be reviewing the following agreements on our site to see if updates are required regarding the new FTC regs regarding bloggers:

The new regs will go into effect on December 1, so I'll let you know in a future newsletter -- hopefully before the end of this month.

Regards,
