I've had a few discussions with clients recently about website ownership.

These discussions usually arise in two situations:

during the negotiation of a website development agreement, or

when the webmaster discovers a real Gotcha - meaning that what he/she assumed was owned was not in fact owned.

I've decided to write a series of articles to clear up some common misconceptions about website ownership - and to point out how to avoid some of the Gotcha's.
