Dear {!firstname}: Welcome to Your WEBSITE LAW ALERT by Chip Cooper and DigiContracts.com
We had the whole family as guests at the beach for the July 4th holiday. Weather was typical -- hot, humid, plenty of sunshine. Just the right ingredients for the grandchildren to play on the beach as much as possible. This cool video is worth 2:19 of your time (note - there's music): Entrepreneurs can change the world. |

I talk to a lot of owners of small websites -- entrepreneurs getting started with new businesses or re-doing existing sites on the Web -- and most of them have a profound lack of understanding regarding the scope of legal regulation they face. What's worse, most don't have any idea of their exposure to legal liability. To learn more, read my article entitled 16 Things Every Website Absolutely, Positively Needs To Know About Website Legal Compliance. |

Visitors to our digicontracts.com website sometimes ask about the significance of the time value of our contract drafting subscriptions. The short answer is:
Another question I'm asked -- do the documents disappear after the subscription term ends? No; there is no disappearing act. The documents are delivered as a .txt file. You copy this text into your word processor -- presumably, Microsoft Word. At that point, you're in complete control. Format, edit, etc. -- as you like. There are no proprietary formats. We don't offer a set of "forms". Instead, our system consists of a massive database consisting of thousands of clauses I've drafted during my 25+ years representing software and Internet entrepreneurs. The logic I built into our drafting wizard guides you through a series of relevant questions and then pulls and assembles the clauses based on your answers -- it's really an "intelligent" document assembly system. The result -- most of our documents have 100's of meaningful variations (some have 1,000's). So, one great benefit is that you are empowered to draft multiple versions of the same document, each based on a different set of assumptions. This can really come in handy. For example, if you're launching an online distribution program for your software product or online service, you can develop your own set of template agreements, such as:
Here's a 4:05 video that explains our system in more detail: How it works. Regards,
