Dear {!firstname}:

Welcome to Your WEBSITE LAW ALERT by Chip Cooper and DigiContracts.com

Chip's Commentary:

We're seeing signs that entrepreneurs are still active. There are definite signs of life in terms of new online startups.

One secret may be to design products and services that resonate with the cautious consumer. It's never been cheaper to start a business -- and to market it.

Perhaps the old Chinese proverb is relevant -- "A wise man adapts himself to circumstances as water shapes itself to the vessel that contains it."

What's The Legal Status of Keyword-Triggered Ads?

Occasionally, it's good to look back and evaluate where we are in terms of cutting-edge legal issues.

One of the hottest legal issues -- in terms of both cutting-edge status and litigated subject matter -- is the use of keyword-triggered ads.

As we begin 2009, it's a good time to see where we are. To learn more, click here.

Comments From Digicontracts.com:

If you're a website developer, use an automated website generator, or if you market content management software, we're planning to launch a new service that may interest you.

We are now in the testing phase for an API that will allow website developers, automated website generators, and vendors of content management software to offer our website legal compliance service that will completely automate:

  • the selection of the recommended website documents;
  • the drafting and assembly of the recommended documents, and
  • the automatic insertion of these documents into the website.

If you have a service or software tool that automates website development, our API will allow you to offer our legal compliance service with no intervention from you -- except for a brief initial set-up. Once the set-up is complete, your customers may draft their own website compliance documents, and the API will automatically insert them into the site.

If you're interested to learn more, let me know. And if you're a website operator, but think your website developer may like to know more about our API service, please pass this newsletter on -- or have them give me a call.

Regards,
