Dear {!firstname}:

Welcome to Your WEBSITE LAW ALERT by Chip Cooper and DigiContracts.com

Chip's Commentary:

The longest presidential campaign in history is finally over... thank goodness!

Regardless of how we voted individually, we wish nothing but success for the new President. Hopefully, the two parties will give us a little break before the 2012 campaign starts.

Managing Legal Risks:

Heightened concern over identity theft is evident in headlines these days. It's a significant driving force behind recent developments in the areas of privacy and data security.

A new form of identity theft regulation known as the "Red Flag" rules has emerged, and it promises to catch some ecommerce site off guard. That's because the applicability of the "Red Flag" rules in some respects is vague and confusing.

For a discussion of the "Red Flag" rules and how they may apply to your site, click here.

Comments From Digicontracts.com:

Given the liability facing ecommerce sites regarding the "Red Flag" rules, I'm going to determine the feasibility of adding a "Red Flag" document to our digicontracts.com site.

It'll probably be added as a new document to our existing Website Compliance Library, Ecommerce Library, and Complete Library. Existing subscribers to these "products" will be able to draft a compliance document at no additional charge. Remember, updates are free with our service.

Stay tuned for future announcements.

Regards,
