Dear {!firstname}: Welcome to Your WEBSITE LAW ALERT by Chip Cooper and DigiContracts.com
Dog days... hot, sultry summer weather. I'm told that the term also applies to the period between early July and early September, when Sirius, the so-called Dog Star, rises and sets with the sun. The ancient Romans called this phenomenon "dies caniculares", which was translated as "dog days". Just as you're getting a little tired of the dog days waiting for football season to start, a tropical storm actually makes you appreciate the dog days a little more. |

I use the terms "shrink-wrapped", "click-wrapped", and "browse-wrapped" frequently to describe certain types of contracts. A couple of weeks ago, a client reminded me that he (as well as others) may not have a clear understanding of what these terms mean. It's important to understand what these terms mean because they're used in connection with software and content licensing, website Terms of Use, and most website customer agreements (SaaS, membership, subscription, account, service, etc.). So, if you'd like a little background regarding these terms and their legal significance, click here. |
|
Our DigiContracts.com site offers a browse-wrapped agreement - Terms of Use. We also offer several click-wrapped agreements:
Plus, we offer a shrink-wrapped software license agreement (not used much anymore). Regards,
