Dear {!firstname}: Welcome to Your WEBSITE LAW ALERT by Chip Cooper and DigiContracts.com
Summertime in Atlanta means different things to different people. To me, it's Atlanta Braves baseball. The Braves have had a marvelous run since the early 90's. Although the Braves do not have the powerhouse team they once had (particularly the pitching), it's still fun to go to the Ted (Turner Field) to see the latest edition that Bobby Cox can put on the field. The Braves always seem to respond well to Bobby's upbeat management style. I hope Atlanta fans really appreciate what they have had the privilege to witness over the last 15+ years -- several locks for the Hall of Fame, a lot of wins, and consistency all around (and yes, a World Series win in 1995). From 1991-2005, the Braves were one of the most successful franchises in baseball. Hopefully, they'll be able to keep it going after Cox retires. |

If you're like most small ecommerce businesses, you're likely to write your own marketing copy. Marketing "copy" includes text that encourages consumers to buy goods or services. It's the clever "stuff" you write on your site to make it sell. Be aware that this is a highly regulated area that could result in substantial liability. To learn more about how to limit your liability for the marketing copy you write, click here. |

If you've been reading my newsletter for the last year or so, you're aware of the growing concern over data privacy and security. This concern is due to the threat of identity theft, and it focuses on personally identifiable information. A couple of years ago, we modifed our standard non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to include a provision for personally identifiable information. The NDA has been one of our subscription documents from the very beginning since 1996. We have also added the NDA to the site as a demo, so you don't even have to be a current subscriber to draft one. To draft a NDA with our demo functionality, click here. Regards,
