When To Use

For use by Employers with individual Employees or Contractors who serve as software designers, programmers, documentation, and/or content writers for purposes of transferring ownership of intellectual property (IP) to the Employer and maintaining confidentiality of Employer trade secrets.

A must for everyone who employs others to create software, documentation, or content. Prospective in nature, so that IP for works created in the future is transferred to the Employer.

For works created prior to the effective date of this Agreement, use the Copyright Assignment to transfer ownership of IP to the Employer.
